Why homes fail

Every monsoon,
your home pays
the price.

Concrete moves. Plaster cracks. Water finds the one gap you cannot see — then travels through the slab into the room below. By the time a stain shows on your ceiling, the damage has been spreading for months.

Repainting hides it for one season. Sealing the surface ends it.

Interior wall damaged by rising damp, peeling paint and salt efflorescence
BeforeUntreated wall

Terrace Leakage

Standing rainwater works through slab pores and hairline cracks, dripping into the room below.

Wall Seepage

Driving rain on exterior walls soaks through masonry and surfaces as damp patches inside.

Dampness & Salts

Peeling paint, bubbling plaster and white efflorescence — the visible signs of trapped moisture.

Structural Cracks

Thermal movement opens fresh cracks every summer, and each one is a new route for water.

FEATURE 01

Terrace temperature
down by 12°

The high-reflectance film bounces solar radiation off your roof instead of letting the slab soak it up. Top-floor rooms stay measurably cooler through the summer, and the air conditioner stops fighting a hot ceiling all afternoon.

  • Solar-reflective film
  • Cooler top floor
  • Lower cooling load
  • Less thermal stress on the slab

FEATURE 02

Stops leakage
at the source

Applied at forced coverage, Simba Damp Shield cures into one continuous, seamless membrane across the whole terrace — no joints, no laps, no weak points. Rain sits on top of the film and drains away instead of soaking into the concrete.

  • Seamless membrane
  • Zero joints
  • Ponding-water resistant
  • 15 years of protection

FEATURE 03

Protection
from seepage

On exterior and interior walls the coating blocks water travelling sideways through masonry, while still letting trapped vapour escape. Damp patches, salt bloom and bubbling paint stop coming back — because the moisture never gets in.

FEATURE 04

Prevents cracks
from coming back

An elastic cross-linking polymer, reinforced with acrylic and nano fibres, lets the film stretch with the surface as it expands and contracts. Existing cracks up to 2 mm are bridged and stay bridged — the coating moves instead of tearing.

Questions

Before you buy

How long does Simba Damp Shield last?
The coating is formulated to deliver 15 years of waterproofing when it is applied over a properly prepared surface at the recommended forced coverage — a priming coat at 40% dilution followed by two undiluted coats on terraces.
Can it really reduce my terrace temperature by 12°?
The cured film is highly solar-reflective, so the slab absorbs far less heat through the day. The result is a noticeably cooler top floor and a lower cooling load. The exact drop depends on your roof colour, slab thickness, insulation and local conditions.
My terrace already has cracks. Do I need to repair them first?
Yes. Clean and dry the surface and fill defects with Simba Crack Filler or Repair Master before coating. Once the surface is sound, the elastomeric film bridges movement cracks up to 2 mm and keeps them sealed as the slab expands and contracts.
Can I apply it myself, or do I need a contractor?
A careful DIY application works on small areas if you follow the four steps and the coverage rates exactly. For full terraces we recommend a trained applicator — forced coverage and film thickness are what deliver the performance. Call us and we will guide you or point you to a dealer.
Does it work on interior walls too?
Yes. Simba Damp Shield is made for both exterior and interior wall surfaces as well as terraces. On walls, apply the priming coat followed by one undiluted coat, then optional texture and 2–3 coats of Simba Wall Top Coat.
Is it safe to use at home?
Lead content does not exceed 90 parts per million. As with any coating, apply in a well-ventilated area and keep the pack away from children. Full precautions are printed on the pack — scan the QR code on the front for the complete product information.
